FOR PETS

PETS ARE OUR FAMILY TOO

Whether you have a dog, a horse, a cat or something smaller and furry, having a portrait session is all about capturing the essence of your beloved pet and making sure their personality shines through. We want them, and you, to feel completely relaxed and comfortable and we more than happy to take all the time needed to do that so you get the most gorgeous set of imagery to look at every day

In the countryside, a coastal setting, urban location or studio; whichever type of portrait session you choose, it is a perfect reason to capture your furry family members and immortalise them in beautiful artwork that you will cherish long after they are gone.

You are also most welcome to join them in the shot and show the beautiful bond you share together. You could have you both fully featured or, as some people enjoy doing, just their feet in their favourite shoes. This could be your wellies in the woods or maybe even in a pair of high heels standing in the middle of the city. Your portrait session can be as different and tailored to you as suits to make sure that your images are completely unique, just like your companion.

The photos from Claire’s shoot with my dog Buster are just beautiful, they capture who he is and his personality and are going to be very cherished in our new house. I’ve never had a photo shoot before and can’t express how relaxed and professional Claire is, I would recommend her to everyone!

— Sammy & Buster

I absolutely love the photos. I was so grateful that Claire suggested we go back to get the last few photos a few days later due to the lighting not being right for the first one, thank you! It was great to see the photos at the reveal session and even more exciting to have the photos delivered. I was so impressed with the relaxed yet professional manner that the photoshoot was conducted, and the quality of the photos which are all so atmospheric. I am already recommending Atelier Creative to my dog friends! Thanks!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • If we are going on location, we take your horse or dog to a location of your choice and go for a walk. I usually allow one to two hours in order for them to get comfortable with me, let our a little bit of steam walking and to make sure we get them in the perfect place and light for their photographs.

  • We will have a consultation prior to the shoot and decide upon a location that suits you and your style best. It could be a beach, an urban setting or in some of the glorious woodland we have around Norfolk. However, if you would prefer an indoor portrait session you can come to my studio instead. The choice is yous!

  • That's absolutely fine. The safety of your animal is the top priority for me and almost every single animal I have ever photographed has remained on lead - I'm just a nifty editor and can remove it easily! My recommendation is always that dogs wear a lead and collar rather than a harness for their shoot. If you don't have one, I always carry a slip lead with me in my ket bag, which can be used to get the best shots possible for you.

  • Before your session we can talk about everything that you might need during a consultation call. I would always say their favourite treats, toys or anything to get their attention when needed, water for them and, if they wear a harness usually, a slip lead. However, I do carry one in my kit you are most welcome to use.

  • Absolutely! I photograph people as well as pets and you are so welcome to join your pet in the images. Some people like to get the whole family in the shots and others like just a hint of them, such as their dog sitting next to their welly boots - the choices is yours! We can discuss this all during your consultation.

  • Please don't worry about this, a lot of dogs that I see are not perfectly mannered and that is absolutely fine. If they do have basic obedience training then this may help as we can have more control over the final images, but it's not a requirement and won't stop us getting some gorgeous images that you will love.

  • That's a normal occurrence in England so it's a problem that I'm used to dealing with. I will try to schedule your portrait session at a good time for everyone, including your dog, so we don't have burnt paws from the heat or soggy wet horses in the images. If the weather is not on our side, we will absolutely rearrange. I ask my Clients to keep the weekend free of the week that they have booked in for, so if we do have to move, if can be within a few days so you can still get your beautiful photos back in the same time frame that you anticipated.

  • Currently my session spaces are booked out 6-8 weeks in advance. If you would like to be placed on a cancellation waiting list I will contact you if any space becomes available sooner.

  • After booking deposits are non refundable, as I am holding the date for you and turning away other Clients. If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 14 days in advance otherwise a £100 rescheduling fee will apply.

  • If you are running late, please call or text. Keep in mind that your portrait session time will be reduced if you arrive late and, if at sunset, we may have missed the best light.

  • We completely understand that everyone wants digital images these days and we offer digital options on 3, 5 or 10 images.

  • You will have print rights for personal use to all your purchased images. This means that you can print copies of your portraits up to the same size purchase, but you do not have the right to sell or publish them without permission.

  • A gift card is the perfect way to gift to anyone who is special to you. We sell all our cards wrapped in a beautiful box and bag, ready for gifting.

  • Yes, absolutely. I fully apprecaite that a custom portrait session is an investment and I work with clients of all kinds of budgets. I take credit cards and offer payment plans. Any purchases must be paid in full before they are sent to be printed.
