Do you print photos you've taken? So many people have a mobile phone full of images, many don't even bother downloading them to a hard drive or computer and certainly most don't print them. Do you?

Some people put their images onto USB drives for safe keeping. Is that you? Did you know that they are only made to last a few years and the quality will then deteriorate. Seven years is the maximum before you should consider changing devices or lose some of the quality forever. It's a very short time when you really think about it

How long does a quality print last? If you get your prints professionally printed and matted to archival museum quality standards then they guarantee them for 100+ years. That is to protect from scratches UV damage and fading. I like those odds a little bit better!!

Why on earth do I get mine printed in Italy? Seems like a long way to go, right, for a print! Well, I have done a lot of research into the products I stock and want to give my clients the best of the best in terms of quality and service, which is why Graphistudio print all of my work.

Firstly, most print houses print in a sRGB colour space which is fine, but they actually print in a Adobe RGB Colour Space. This is doubling the range of colours that you can see in your images making them more detailed, more vivid and more realistic.

Secondly, they use HD paper types and I have chosen for my clients the Deep Velvet Touch Paper, which is an incredible product. It has the texture and precision of a fine art paper but has a slight matt lamination to it so it is protected and you can touch it if you need to. Fine art papers look beautiful but if you touch them without cotton gloves on the prints can rub off! Not good!

Lastly, they are one of the only print houses worldwide that archival guarantee their matted prints. Most will only guarantee this on wall art, but the way Graphi laminate your images and matt them means they have museum grade longevity. This allows my clients to be able to display their prints on the side as is, without framing if they so desire. Or you could put them in a gorgeous leather folio box... oh decisions!

See, there's more to printing then you would think! Did you know that printing was such a minefield?!

Please give me a shout if I can help you in anyway.
