The weather is glorious in Norfolk and spring is upon us, which means the bluebells are out and I get back to what I love - rolling around on the ground with doggies!

Yesterday, I was up at 3:45am to get to a fabulous location and photograph two beautiful dogs at sunrise, on a misty marsh. Unfortunately, the pictures are a surprise so I can't share them with you yet, but I'm so happy with them!

There is something so wonderful about getting up with the sun and going to bed with the sun. I've been on safari a few times and I always love existing with nature and photographing them in their environment.

One of the best tips I can give anyone for photographing with natural light, especially if it's a sunny day and no cloud cover, is to either do it at sunrise or sunset when the sun is lower so to avoid any hard shadows on your subject. Also, you get beautiful warm tones at this time of day, which just add to your beautiful photographs.

This picture of Bella was taken last year at Sunset and she was the perfect little model.

If you want to capture your beloved companion, whether it be a dog, cat, small animal or even horse, now is the time to do it and the vegetation is stunning but not overtaking the images.
