the downtime is just as important

I recently had Gareth in the studio for headshots. He had never really done anything like this before so was anxious about what to expect and what he would have to do. This is where I come in...

It's my job to make every client I have feel completely at ease and know they I have got their back. They need to know that I know what I'm doing and also to connect with me as I want them to connect through my lens. How do I do this? I get to know them!

Gareth and I had. a great chat and got to know each other during the session and we have produced some fab headshots for him to use in his next role, which I'm about to share with him.

However, this picture was a 'outtake', if you can call him that. We were laughing about something and talking about how unnatural posing can be sometimes when he started to laugh. I saw his face light up and know I just had to take the image. I love it! It sums up a moment in time perfectly and so I edited this for him as a little 'thank you' for such an enjoyable session.

I bet you didn't think laughing was on the agenda for headshots?!
