Yesterday my work was being judged by six photographers (who are top of their fields) at The Flash Centre in Birmingham. I put together a panel of 20 images with a supporting brief and they had to determine whether my work was of a high enough professional standard to gain my licentiate qualification with them.

I received a phone call from the Director of BIPP last night to say that feedback would be received in a few days but that I had passed 'with a strong panel' and was now a Licentiate of the BIPP. They will now recommend me as a photographer to anyone who inquires, which is amazing as I think it's so important for the public to know who they are looking for to achieve a professional outcome for them.

Just a note, if you are looking for a professional photographer to take images for you, then please consider their qualifications. If you are going to spend money with a professional, make sure that they are indeed a professional.
