Hope you've all had a fantastic New Year and are ready for what 2023 is going to send our way!

I'm pumped and ready so I'm kicking off the year with my 12:12 Self-Portrait and it's a shiny one!

For anyone who doesn't know, I shall be taking a self-portrait monthly all year to lead up to turning 40 and sharing them with you. Allowing you to see my journey, hear my voice and document the creativity and development of a photographer, me. :)

I wanted to achieve something that captured the shininess of the Christmas celebrations and New Year with a bit of glitter and sparkle!

This very much sums up how I feel at this exact moment in time. I feel a little bit like a turkey all wrapped up to go into the oven! Ready to bake during 2023 and emerge as the woman I know I can be. I'm peering out of the wrapping waiting to see what is in store.

I cannot wait to surround myself with and tell the stories of 40 women who are 40+. Beyonce didn't get it right at all when she said that girls run the world. It's definitely women!
