neil: headshots & personal branding

A couple of weeks ago I had the lovely Neil Tarbet in the Studio for some headshots, but we decided to brand out into a little bit of personal branding.

When creating your brand, it's so important that you come across as approachable, friendly, warm and professional. That you show yourself in your best light for your clients and give them a sense of what you really are about.

Neil is a fantastic Mortgage advisor who really goes the extra mile. He also deals with a lot of sole traders and contractors who struggle to get mortgages with all the loopholes that they have to jump though, yet he seems to manage it with ease!

He's currently going through a rebrand so I shot these actually on a dark blue and watermelon pink backdrop and change them in post to match his brand colours colours. To do this I use hex codes Pantone swatches and website demo sites to get the colours as accurate as possible to the ones being used, which takes a bit of jiggery pokey because websites see colours differently to print and we want them to work for both mediums.

It was lovely to have Neil in the studio and my cat thought so too and also got in on the action, though it did mean extra editing to take her out and her traces of fur she left behind!

Thanks for letting me photograph you Neil and I can't wait to see these up and running on your new site!
